Una partita a domino
Scrivere è un po’ come fare una partita a domino, posizionando le pedine in verticale. Il numero che sta in cima alla pedina corrisponde alla base di quella successiva e cosi via. Il gioco prevede due partecipanti, così come in un racconto: da un lato la razionalità dello scrittore; dall’altra la sua emotività con la sua scia di desideri, fantasie, visioni. Lo scrittore gioca con sé stesso: divide le pedine in due gruppi. Da uno sceglie a caso; dall’altro, nella rosa delle sue possibilità, sceglie consapevolmente quale tassello legare.
Ora il gioco giunge al termine, e sul tavolo restano in verticale tutte le combinazioni che gli è stato possibile usare. Ma se azzarda un finale sbagliato, quell’atto si ripercuoterà sull’intera storia. E basterà una leggera spinta sull’ultimo tassello per vederle cadere una dopo l’altra fino al principio. A game of dominoes
Writing is a bit like playing a game of dominoes, placing the checkers vertically. The number at the top of the counter corresponds to the base of the next one and so on.
