“Ci sono uomini che sfoggiano tanta erudizione teologica ma non producono frutti spirituali; hanno molte argomentazioni, ma non hanno l’unico argomento del Vangelo: il frutto. Discorsi articolati, conoscenza delle Scritture, onestà di vita, ma manca fuoco, mancano segni, manca autenticazione soprannaturale.Dio non ha bisogno di esibizionisti dall’intellettualità morta; cerca adoratori che lo adorino in spirito e verità; uomini infiammati di zelo per il suo nome; vite che ardono, che sono esse stesse la prova della verità di un Dio vero!
Per questo, il Signore preferisce un santo a mille teologi presuntuosi, pieni di ‘ragione’”.

“There are men who show off so much theological erudition but do not produce spiritual fruit; they have many arguments, but they do not have the only Gospel argument: fruit. Articulated speeches, knowledge of the Scriptures, honesty of life, but there is no fire, no signs, no supernatural authentication.God does not need exhibitionists with dead intellectuality; he seeks worshipers who worship him in spirit and truth; men inflamed with zeal for his name; lives that burn, which are themselves the proof of the truth of a true God!
For this reason, the Lord prefers a saint to a thousand presumptuous theologians, full of ‘reason’ “.
