C’era una volta un saggio seduto all’ingresso della città, uno straniero si avvicinò e chiese al saggio: “Non sono mai venuto in questa città come sono le persone che vivono qui?”.

Il saggio gli rispose con una domanda: “Come erano le persone nella città dalla quale vieni?”.

“Egoiste e cattive ed è il motivo per cui sono partito” disse lo straniero.

A quella risposta il saggio rispose “Troverai la stessa situazione qui”.

Più tardi si avvicinò un altro viandante che chiese “Buon uomo, come sono le persone di questo villaggio?”.

Il saggio gli rispose con una domanda “Come erano le persone nella città dalla quale vieni?”.

Il viandante a differenza del primo rispose: “Buone e accoglienti, avevo molti amici sono venuto via con fatica”

Il saggio rispose “Troverai la stessa situazione qui”.

Un mercante sentì entrambe le conversazioni e appena il secondo straniero si allontanò si rivolse al vecchio con tono di rimprovero:

“Come puoi dare due risposte uguali a due risposte completamente differenti?”

“Perché ognuno porta il proprio universo nel suo cuore” rispose il vecchio saggio.

Once upon a time there was a wise man sitting at the entrance to the city, a stranger approached and asked the wise man, “I have never come to this city how are the people who live here?”.
