Un gioco di parole che ben si sposa con la filosofia del proprietario del Ristorante Grimani, sito in via Mula 5 a Palmanova (UD) nella città a forma di stella del Friuli (Italia).
Questa perla incastonata nella stella, è uno scrigno di sorprese che spaziano dal titolare allo staff e alla valorizzazione dell’arte e della storia più unici che rari. Spicca immediatamente da Grimani l’accoglienza e la storia illustrata in mirabili pitture simil acquerello della nascita della città stessa e delle sue tumultuose vicissitudini che spaziano dalla occupazione prima da parte di Venezia, a seguire della Francia e in ultimo degli Austriaci. Quanto colpisce del ristorante pizzeria Grimani è proprio questo aspetto storico culturale quale spaccato di storia della martoriata terra friulana, un tocco davvero degno di nota. Non manca poi una esposizione, frutto della passione per l’arte del sig. Vittorio, cuoco, pizzaiolo e proprietario, di sculture in legno e un notevole tavolo di legno decorato con la veduta della città di Palmanova nella particolare forma a stella e una strepitosa scacchiera da gioco per la dama o gli scacchi, realizzato dallo stesso sig. Vittorio. Le sorprese continuano con le proposte culinarie, di cui decisamente si può affermare che l’impasto integrale della pizza è il migliore assaggiato nel settore, rustico, fragrante e morbido e croccante allo stesso tempo, spaziando per le varie farce, degno di menzione anche il calzone, personalizzabile a richiesta del cliente, e l’amorevole sorpresa che si possa essere il cliente fortunato a riceve la pizza a forma di cuore, e si potrebbe continuare tra primi piatti equilibrati, profumati e un viaggio nel piacere… fino ai dessert dei quali quelli di produzione del sig. Vittorio sono davvero un viaggio imperdibile per gli amanti di dolci tipici e caserecci. Ma scriverne non trasmette degnamente l’esperienza del provare in prima persona il menù. Impossibile non suggerire ai lettori, ai turisti o chi viaggia per lavoro se non per diletto, una sosta alla città stellata e al ristorante pizzeria Grimani.
Un grazie, pertanto, al sig. Vittorio e allo staff, per avere raccolto la storia della città e del territorio narrata lungo il dispiegarsi dei quadri che adornano la sala, per il cibo cucinato col cuore, delle sculture esposte in un percorso culturale-culinario che rendono la sosta al Grimani più piacevole e interessante scoprendo queste peculiarità istoriate.

A play on words that goes well with the philosophy of the owner of the Grimani restaurant, located in via Mula 5 in Palmanova (UD) in the star-shaped city of Friuli (Italy).
This pearl set in the star is a treasure chest of surprises ranging from the owner to the staff and the enhancement of the unique and rare art and history. Grimani immediately stands out for the welcome and the story illustrated in admirable watercolor-like paintings of the birth of the city itself and its tumultuous vicissitudes ranging from the occupation first by Venice, followed by France and finally by the Austrians. What is striking about the Grimani pizza restaurant is precisely this historical and cultural aspect as a cross-section of the history of the tormented land of Friuli, a truly noteworthy touch. There is also an exhibition, fruit of the passion for the art of Mr. Vittorio, cook, pizza chef and owner, of wooden sculptures and a remarkable wooden table decorated with a view of the city of Palmanova in the particular star shape and an amazing chessboard game board for checkers or chess, made by the same Mr. Victor. The surprises continue with the culinary offerings, of which we can definitely say that the wholemeal pizza dough is the best tasted in the sector, rustic, fragrant and soft and crunchy at the same time, ranging for the various fillings, also worthy of mention calzone, customizable at the customer’s request, and the loving surprise that we may be the lucky customer to receive the heart-shaped pizza, and we could continue among balanced, fragrant first courses and a journey into pleasure … up to the desserts of which those produced by Mr. Vittorio are truly an unmissable trip for lovers of typical and homemade desserts. But writing about it doesn’t worthily convey the experience of trying the menu firsthand. Impossible not to suggest to readers, tourists or business travelers if not for pleasure, a stop at the starred city and the Grimani pizza restaurant.
Thanks, therefore, to Mr. Vittorio and the staff, for having collected the history of the city and the territory narrated along the unfolding of the paintings that adorn the room, for the food cooked with the heart, the sculptures displayed in a cultural-culinary journey that make the stop at the Grimani more pleasant it is interesting to discover these historiated peculiarities.
